I’m back and hopefully wiser.
A month of travelling in Scotland has taught me the 10 following things:
1) I am lucky to live in a city like Victoria.
2) ‘Fell Running’ is aptly named. As in, “I fell 3 times in the first 5km…” Mental note to buy soccer cleats next time.
3) Staying in a castle isn’t as cool as it sounds. Especially one with 4 floors of dungeons below the main one. Scary.
4) I still don’t like whisky.
5) Don’t ask a Scot, “Where in England are you from?”
6) I am addicted to English cider but ’so-so’ on Pimms.
7) Gore-tex jacket + gore-tex shoes = good decision.
Deep fried Mars bars aren’t so bad.
9) You can easily get your hands on vegetarian haggis.
10) I love travelling and want to quit my job, sell the house and get back on the road.
